For far too long our state government has been hampered by scandal after scandal and it consistently falls under the category of campaign ethics. I support the efforts of Representative David Dank to increase accountability for elected officers and when elected, I will fight to toughen penalties for ethics violations and will fight to fully fund the Ethics Commission – a Constitutionally protected, independent agency. |

Schools should not be weighed down by government mandates, bureaucracy and red tape. Parents and local school boards should have control over our schools and the freedom to make innovative decisions to meet students’ needs. In addition, I believe that with education funding should come education accountability. Administrative costs within the Oklahoma Department of Education are staggering – we need more money in the classrooms rather than administrative functions. |

Law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma have been given a great deal of lip service, however, lip service doesn’t protect the citizenry. It is men and women in uniform who everyday put their lives on the line to protect our families. As a retired Highway Patrolman, I understand the risks involved and will always ensure public safety is a top priority at our state capitol. Gang violence is, in my opinion, acts of domestic terrorism and should be dealt with accordingly. |

HB1804 was a landmark moment in the history of the state of Oklahoma and the working men and women of our great state overwhelmingly support immigration reform. Unfortunately, the pressure from special interests have caused our otherwise stalwart reformers to change their tune. I will fight to ensure House Bill 1804 stays intact and is not watered down with empty rhetoric. The United States Constitution affords states the right and ability to regulate commerce independent of federal oversight – and let’s face, illegal immigration is an economic issue. |
